Today is the last day of class! I feel like I have learned so much throughout the week and I am kind of sad that it is over. This class taught me how to do so many things. That in a solid week I learned about circuits, e-textiles, makey- makeys, arduinos, lilys and doodlebots. I mean that sounds like another language! I learned about kinetic energy and how to make a website. All things that I would have never tried to do on my own. Most importantly this class taught me all about incorporating STEAM into my classroom. I learned about the 4 Cs and why they are so integral to a student. I learned why it is our job as educators to prepare these students for the new global jobs that were not available 50 years ago. Technology is ever changing and with that brings new global jobs where being able to think outside the box is so integral.

Steam Challenge:
Using only copy paper and masking tape, see how tall a structure you can build. the structure has to be able to hold a cup with water. We had a pretty good idea- fold the paper in thirds to make it sturdy and layering the paper. |
Almost as tall as our STEAM sculpture.

This is the winning structure! We were a close second place.
